While doing some internal testing around different Real-Time scaling scenarios today we noticed a few small spikes in latency when new transcoders were spinning up. We have released a fix to address these issues but out of an abundance of caution, we will be delaying the release of the update while we continue to monitor this fix.
We apologize for the change of plans but again, we want to err on the side of caution to avoid any customer impact during this update.
Once we have a new release date for this update, which will likely be next week, we will follow up with that information.

At 11am UTC on 10/4/23 we will begin rolling out an update to our Real-Time API. Over the course of four hours we will gradual be moving traffic over to the updated version of our Real-Time API. This update should not cause any issues for customer using our Real-Time feature but we will have members of our Engineering and Support monitoring the rollout to ensure good performance.
